About the Future Fund Grant Cycle with The Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro

Future Fund is an initiative of the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. Over the past 24 years, Future Fund has awarded over $600,000 in grants to more than 60 nonprofits. Research is conducted to identify the organizations best suited to create a lasting impact in our community.  The Future Fund Program awards $60,000 to local nonprofits. Future Fund typically makes one-year grants, with awards between $2,000 and $20,000.  

Future Fund’s values are Innovation and Impact and this year’s grant-making area is Education and Mentorship. 

Eligibility

  • 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt status as defined by Internal Revenue Service

  • Spend no more than 5% of your budget on legislative involvement

  • Apply to fund nonprofits impacting Guilford County

  • Your application fits into the field of interest identified for 2023: Education & Mentorship

 

Applications are due by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023. Applications are reviewed by Future Fund's Grants Committee.  Organizations will be informed of the committee's decisions this fall.  Please note that additional information may be requested during the review process.
